I’m Remy, and I’m a sophomore in high school. In the beginning of my freshman year, I was assigned to get a bagel donation for an event at school. When I went the local bagel shop to ask if they would donate some bagels, the manager of the store told me that they throw out all of their left over bagels at the end of each day. I thought about how these leftover bagels could be put to use, and decided to come up with something that I could do to transfer these leftovers to food pantries and soup kitchens. Not only would this help to feed the hungry, but it would protect the environment from waste at the same time. It was this experience that inspired me to start No Bagel Left Behind. Now, my goal is to get the community involved, to make a bigger impact.
